Sunny Barbados

Holiday Homes
for Family and Friends

on the West Coast of Barbados

House Rules / Jubilance-Cottage

Just relax and have a good time.

I want you to feel right at home. However, we do have a few rules..

The place is yours to enjoy- no restrictions. It is customary to say good morning/evening to neighbours when passing by!

Respect the property, the Owner, the neighbours and do not engage in lawless, disruptive behaviour.

We will treat you and your requirements with respect and expect the same from guests towards ourselves, our property, contents and any neighbour guests.

This includes keeping reasonable, respectful restrictions on all noise levels, especially in the evening since the core of our visitors in Barbados are on holiday to rest.

Your accommodation will be prepared for your arrival.

Starter packs don't usually apply as guests can choose their own provisions on arrival.

Your refundable security deposit is to cover keys and minor breakages you may have.

However, guests must also expect to meet the cost of any major damage they might accidentally cause although this has not so far been necessary.

For security purposes, the property is reserved for occupation only by the 5 or less guests named in your reservation.

We know you must be ready to relax and start your vacation, and we want you to make yourself at home right way. We just ask all guests to go through the home and report any dissatisfaction within the first 24 hours to us.

Barbados is generally a safe destination with a low crime rate. It is however sensible to secure the property when you are going out and also when you sleep. It is also not advisable to go for walks on any beach late at night. Most crimes that Barbados does have are opportunistic and these simple precautions will help to ensure that you have a trouble free vacation.

Free local telephone service. Do not make over sea calls! Free Wifi

Keys: Lost keys are subject to a US$25.00 per key charge .

Cooling: Barbados is a Tropical Island blessed with easterly trade winds. In your villa you can take advantage of this by having the doors and windows open while you are in. Do remember to latch the doors when open, as the wind can be quite strong at times and will blow them in.

There are air-conditioning units provided in each bedroom for your comfort. When using the units please do not set the temperature below 21 degrees C. In addition, when the unit is on please ensure that the windows and doors in the room are closed, as the air conditioning will not work properly if they are open.

Please help save the planet and keep your costs down. Don't forget when leaving the property to turn the A/C units off.

Electricity: There are electrical points located throughout the villa. Electricity in Barbados is 110V. One 230 V plug-in is also available. Its supply is very reliable and rarely will the power go out. Electricity consumption has to be paid at the end of the stay (meter reading)

Garbage: Place your garbage in the large bin provided outside by the  road.

Hot water: IT IS REALLY HOT! The hot water provided is via an environmentally friendly solar water heater. The water is heated naturally through the day's sun and stored in a tank. Because of this the water can be quite hot at times, when taking a shower test the water for the right temperature before going under.

Laundry: During your stay you may wish to do some laundry, there is a washer  provided for your convenience.

Toilets: The toilets onsite can handle most things; however, we ask that you do not dispose of sanitary napkins, baby nappies, and large paper towels in the toilet. These items will clog the drains and we ask that you dispose of them in bins provided.

When leaving the beach, please use the outdoor taps to rinse sand from feet and clothing before entering the house. Any sand brought into the house must be swept out before your departure. must be swept out before your departure.
